Headed down to Point Clark, Ontario in the afternoon of June 9th, saw quite a nice cell approaching land over Lake Huron. Stood by the shoreline watched for a bit and realizing that I was in the wrong spot. Had to move fast, because at the rate that this cell was approaching it would not be long before it hit land and I had a feeling it was going to be massive.
Luckily for me Port Albert was not far away a 10 to 15 min drive, unfortunately though the cell gained speed as it neared the shore, I was not going to make it to Port Albert I was super close though but no cigar to watch it from the beach. I pulled down a dirt road and captured these images as the cell made its way in.
It was a thing of beauty, Mother Nature’s finest work in the early stages of chase season, a large multi stacked shelf cloud, approaching me as I stood directly under it. It was mind blowing, awesome and furious. Brought with it some substantial winds and rain and hail.
