Exploring The World of Rain Shafts, Funnels and Hail Cores

This was an amazing chase day 8 towns in SW Ontario in the course of one day equals about 700 KM. One of my favorite things to photograph is rain shafts, not only because they are incredibly beautiful but ominous as well. During this chase we captured several and each one blew me away (not literally) by their shear beauty and power. Now we did come across a few hail cores in the mix and a beautifully lit up funnel from the sun trying hard to break through a massive cell. The funnel however did not last long and its a good thing cause it would have set down on a farm house directly in its path.
